Knit Knitavian Style provides humor, inspiration, interviews, resources, an array of patterns, to knit and use in everyday life.  The author hopes the reader will come away with a fresh outlook on knitting, their lives, and how the two are intertwined.

The patterns in the book are inspired by colors and textures in natural surroundings. The author has included yarns that she enjoys working with and knit items that she uses in her own life. They are rated according to the Yarn Standard Guidelines from the Craft Yarn Council and range from easy to intermediate. The patterns rated easy require a basic knitting knowledge.  The intermediate patterns require using double pointed needles, circular needles, or stitches that require a little more skill.
